A 10 week online experience to understand your body’s signals and be able to take a break in a stressful day.
This for you who has maybe read all the books, gone to therapy (or is still going), tried to intellectually understand your stress but still feel like something is missing. Like your body doesn’t understand the language of your mind.
In this program we learn to not just understand what to feel but
actually feel it.
The body was never meant
to be managed by the mind.
Most people try to fix their life top-down. Starting in the mind, thinking, re-thinking, planning, understanding. But did you know that 80% of the signals our nervous system reads come from the body up and just 20% from the mind downward?
We cannot think our way out of problem, situation, feeling. And that is a fact.
What we need to do instead is get into the body and feel through it.
The difficult part, because I believe we all know how to feel to a certain degree, is safety. To feel safe enough, to allow peace, rest, and nothingness. Have you ever had a moment in between, just for yourself and immediately started thinking about things to do, problems to solve, actions to take? Well, that is your nervous system telling you, you are at risk, you are not safe.
In this program, we will reprogram what your nervous system connects with safety, we will practice mindfulness, and understand why it is important to begin with the body not the mind.
Each week consists of:
A live session where we will practice and integrate tools to help our nervous system feel safe, there is also time to share (if you want!!)
2 Videos, where you will learn about the biology of the body (don’t be scared, easy to digest)
1 Video, where you will get to know a practice that you can repeat for yourself (over and over again!)
A chapter in the practice book with all the important information of that week and additional practices and questions to go a step deeper throughout the week
A huge focus is on practices that include the breath, the science of the breath, mindfulness (and I mean not just seated in meditation but out in the world, integrated in your every day life, how you interact with people, loved ones, your partner, friends, parents) and movement (not just yoga asana) inspired by Finnish wisdom, yogic traditions and science-backed tools for nervous system regulation.
In short: this is a 10 week container to stop managing the body using the mind and start learning to trust that the body is our home with all its in-built automatic processes to keep as healthy and alive if we give it the right signals to work with.
